Barking is a about 30 minutes east of central London. Its economy over the years evolved from agriculture to commercial and industrial. Currently, development projects in the riverside is underway to build more homes and provide services. One historic building in the town is the 13th century church of St Margaret’s. A number of landmarks are openly placed in public places, like The Catch in Fanshwe Avenue and Folly Wall in the Town Square.
