Chislehurst Caves are a number of tunnels that used to be chalk mining areas, roughly from the 1250s through 1830s. The tunnels were used to store weapons and ammunition during the WW1 and also as shelter during the WW2. The tunnels have passed the time test and now they serve as a reminder of their importance during the wars. Today, Chislehurst Caves are the attraction for tourists where people can experience the tunnels and the underground.
