Joseph Bazalgette built the Crossness Pumping Station back in 1865 for the Sewage System of London. The original four big rotative beam engines in the station are still present. The Prince Consort engine was restored and it is fully functioning once again. The station is presenting the glorious Victorian era with the incredible ironwork ornamental cast in the Octagon room. The station nowadays has a museum, but it is still under reconstruction.
