Southend is a tiny residential area in London borough of Lewisham in Southeast London. This residential location was an ancient rural small town in the south of the community of Lewisham and did not undergo any development until the end of World War One. Presently, however, Southend is considered a residential suburb and has some large markets within the region. It is also home to a couple of railway stations including Beckenham Hill and Sydenham which are provided by Southeastern.
