The Isabella Plantation is well known for its evergreen azaleas and it was first opened to the public in 1953. The National Collection of Wilson 50 Kurume Azaleas is located in the gardens. There are many other unusual trees and shrubs in this garden that may grab your attention. The Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery Funds have played an important role in improving the biodiversity of Isabella Plantation over the past few years.
