The River Lea begins in Marsh Farm in the Chiltern Hills and this is part of the reason that London’s tap water has such a high mineral content. From there it flows through the eastern parts of London where it joins the River Thames. It is in fact one of the biggest rivers in London. The river flows as a boundary to the Lee Valley Park for much of tis distance.
